It is obvious that Father Malley's superior intellect is about to uncover Keith's heinous deception all by himself!
As the saying goes, you might have heard of it: if there is a land where everybody who lives there has not the gift of sight, then perhaps a man who has some sight, not both eyes but perhaps only one of them, will be the ruler of all the people who have none at all in that land, like a president of sorts maybe.
