We have a landline mostly for Mr Apia's mother and aunt.
On the other hand there are some things in Germany you might not know.
Not having an landline was at least a sign that you are some kind of person that is not respectable. It would go with not having real plates at home and only eating from pizza packages with plastic spoons.
Or not washing your socks and only throwing them away after wearing them for 2 weeks.
You might as well be named Kevin.
