I think between her age and her insinuating at horrible experiences she’s had as a trans person, and the transgressions she’s faced by the male gender, the guest kinda felt threatened by you, perhaps by default. It sucks, but there’s probably nothing you could’ve done to help the situation.
On the other hand, she was completely at peace with Chemda, no matter her questions, bc she didn’t feel threatened by her, especially after she opened up about having been married to a trans person. It’s the reason she chastised you in the follow-up letter. In her mind, she stashed you in the corner with the males who had jeered about her genitalia in the past.
