I was telling a friend that isn't familiar with the Daddy Issues history about the October thing and the song. She also said it sounds like he's planting seeds so it's not as suspicious when he kills her.
Side note, we know he's a self centered shit head so sometimes it's easy to miss al the several levels of shit that should be acknowledged. This man thinks he knows when his children's mother will die. Instead of telling them and encouraging them to see her before this, he instead uses it as a means to bait them into asking something of him so he can revel in himself.
If she dies before him, I think he'll really enjoy having the label of widower and will be finding ways to use it to serve himself.
