Robot age is still some way off...

From The Age in Melbourne, Australia
http://www.theage.com.au/news/techno...827009383.html

Robots may one day rule the world, but don't expect a super-race of androids to step up to the challenge anytime soon, says a Sydney University robotics professor.

Australia's jobs boom for robots

Oh sh!t... from the same paper..

Australia's jobs boom for robots

From The Age
http://www.theage.com.au/news/techno...826873731.html

In the next 50 years, Australian robots will control mines, patrol the coastline and negotiate our harsh agricultural environment, preventing us from risk to our lives. Unmanned aircraft will comb the skies and autonomous vehicles will conduct ground reconnaissance, making Australia a global leader in field robotics.

So basically Australians will rule the world, but unfortunately it will be Australian machines rather than Australian people.

What is this strange being you speak of - Austrlian?

Australians ruling the world wouldn't be scary though - just think of all the public holidays, excessive beer drinking, shrimps on barbies, drop bears, etc...

And the speeches made by our Australian overlord would be poetry in motion;
"G'day world, how the fuck are ya?! We've decided that every Friday we should all piss off from work and go to the pub for a piss-up. If anyone doesn't like that idea, well they can just go and get fucked."

What a world...
