Honda show a new version of ASIMO the humanoid robot at Welcome Plaza Aoyama. It runs smoothly and quickly.

That's pretty cool. it moves pretty smoothly and as long as it can't catch up
to people running away i think we'll be ok. I wouldnt call it running or walking
though, it's more like creeping. I hope they dont teach it to stab with knives
cos then we could have creeping stabbers running around.

Makes me think though, if honda can do this, why does c3po suck
so much?

Easy, C3PO was built by a child ;])

Not running, I looked and there is always one foot on the ground. In running, there is a point where no feet are on the ground. Aka, they can't make it jump either.

US Robo-mule could kick it's ass.

As much as I fear human demise by robots I can't wait for a true to life rockem sockem robot fight.

I think they're making a stealth attack robot, moves at high speed but very quietly so it can sneak up on you and Sam Fisher your ass ;]) (for non gamers, that's the star of Splinter Cell)
