I just ordered some of these from here;
Miracle Berries I will not be trying my piss. Because, what if it tastes good? "You know what would go great with this steak? A warm pint of my piss." |

I had the same pills. Worked great for me, me wife, and the 4 other people who we tried it with. We had a pretty interesting time trying the various stuff. The things that seemed to change the most for us was acidic stuff, not non-sweet stuff. So all the citrus fruits, vinegar, tobasco. Non-acidic stuff didn't seem to change much if at all.

This episode was a bit of a letdown, other than the part where Keith tries out the Wasabi.
And I was thinking, if this shit makes beer sort of unappealing, maybe if a super concentrated version is made, we can cure Keith of his alcoholism. But then again, Keith and beer equals funny, so fuck doing that. |

i think maybe keith and chemda both cant taste things. chemda has to have crazy spicy shit on everything, which, being from texas, i kinda like, but maybe she just cant taste things...keith, he must be in the same boat.
id blame the pills, but i ordered 20 total, and all worked but the ones KATG tried? its pretty cool stuff, and when i get the fresh fruit, we will try that too. |

Tonight is gonna be my first try with the miracle fruit tablets.
I love the label, "Mysterious Fruit Tablets". That doesn't exactly scream "safe for the whole family". Will report back here with my experience. |

Ok, I tried the Miracle Berry tablet last night and it definitely works.
The tablet tastes ok to start with but by the time it has finished dissolving on your tongue you are almost gagging for a drink of vinegar. Here's what I tried; Fresh lemon - beautiful. It really is like lemonade, I ate the whole thing. Fresh lime - even better. I had tried a bit of lime before I had the tablet to remind me of how bitter they are and how hard they are to eat. It's like a lime Skittle. Lemon juice - I tried this and it didn't work as well as eating a fresh lemon, might be why Keith and Chemda didn't notice much difference. Vinegar - drinkable. Wouldn't say it tastes great but I had a couple decent sips and it was fine. The very back of my tongue obviously didn't get coated with the tablet as you could taste the normal vinegar taste just as I was swallowing. Strawberries - like they were coated in sugar. This became a recurring theme. Jalepeno - no change. Guinness - really nice and hard not to stop drinking it. Smooth and chocolatish. Cranberry juice - like drinking a berry juice or something. None of that acidic taste at all. Really good. Mustard - tastes different but not better. Weird is more like it. Vegemite - not as good as when you have it normally. I guess the bite is what makes it normally taste good to me. Cheese (cheddar) - this was low fat cheese so it doesn't normally have that much taste. I'll have to get some full fat vintage cheese and some cream cheese (meant to taste like cheesecake). Kiwi Fruit - a de-soured kiwi fruit dipped in sugar (see the recurring theme here?) Lemon Sour Warhead - I was worried that it would just taste like chemicals but it was just overly sweet. I'm definitely doing it with other people next time though - trying to convey how something tastes to someone is not easy and you just feel like an idiot. I'd eat something then tell my wife, "It tastes like... <blank> but with sugar". And she'd just nod, "Uhuh, ok." Last edited by brianward81; 08-31-2008 at 10:13 PM. |
