I didn't get any footage of it, but after the open mic night we saw the Cheese Guy slumped against a building, struggling not to barf. The rise and fall of showbiz, all in one night.

And it's not a crime to call it "Open Mike Night". Just because the abbreviation on the equipment is MIC, you don't need to try to make that an actual word. "The singer was poorly miked." Try writing that using the form "mic".
"Mic'd," or even "miced." There is not an audio guy alive who would not understand that.

Of course, they'd also universally understand "miked." Just trying to disprove your point. I do that from time to time.
