C'mon Trashy, i know you're doin it on purpose.
I think it's just that Spooky's neurons haven't yet adjusted to spinning counter-clockwise down under...

Funniest KATGtv yet.The 15 minutes passed so fast, and McNally did a superb job on the editing.

I'm enjoying the 'behind the scenes' look at the editing process, even if it seemed to start from a bad place. I haven't done any editing since 2 channels of video, one audio and a time track. Or was it two audio? I didn't do much of it.

I'm curious whether you keep the sound and video together, McNally, or sync them in the end?

Either way, I have no complaints about the final product.

Again, though, thanks for the look at the process. Would have been easy to blow off this thread, but instead we got a rundown of what the job entails. Very cool.

If the video quality is good enough, you can, as I said, digitally zoom in on the image in post production and pan and scan as needed. You see it in the news all the time, sometimes in film, too.

But I didn't know what the quality was that McNally received.

So, if the quality was high enough, it actually is up to him.

In this case it was a mix of two audio tracks, mainly the center camera because it seemed to get Keith the best, and a bit from the camera on the left because it picked up more crowd laughter. I did a quick mix at the start, but the occasional video glitches would glitch up the audio as well, throwing the two out of sync. So once the video was all done I did another pass of the audio alone to make sure the levels seemed okay and that the two tracks stayed together.

It would be so much easier to hate Keith if he wasn't one of my top 3 comedians.

Uh, pretty much wow. Always been audio editing that has grated me more than video. Very smooth here.

I don't see the video? I would love to see it, where's the link? Although, I was there and I know Keith did a great job. The audio, for all our shows there are always recorded by the sound guy, yet this was this kid's first night working there and for some reason, he didn't know he was suppose to record it? That sucked, I should have gone over w/ him before the show. So I apologize that the audio from their sound board was not available. There is a chance that it was automatically recorded into the sound board and archived, but I doubt it. Ed the head audio tech hasn't responded to my email in regards to that.

Also, yeah, my degree covers that shit, keep your ignorance to yourself.

Lastly, if you can't comprehend what you read, maybe you should think about a bit less commentary? I am not going to repeat myself again on what a critique is.
But he's right though. You are kinda a douche.
