Halifax/Dartmouth?

Any KATGers feel like getting together for either a pint at the Celtic Corner on Alderney, or a couple of drinks at The Cheers Pub in Downtown Halifax in the weeks to come?

Just ideas. I'm a newb to Halifax. And just finally starting to get a feel whats on there.

Anyone keen?

Hey, if you need comic books, Strange Adventures is the best comic book having place in Halifax! I used to work at the Fredericton branch. The guy who runs it is named Cal -- If you tell him I sent you he'll politely pretend that I was a good employee. He's nice like that.

Thanks McNally. I'll have to have a look by that place next time i'm in town.

Donalbain 06-26-2010 06:04 PM

I've been in Cole Harbour for about 6 months now. Originally from Victoria, BC. I quite enjoy it. Nice beaches not too far away, nightlife is good(at the right spot).

Sounds good! Let me know closer to the datee. I'll be in school, and working in Sept, but I can find time.

And too any HRM people too iffy to post Ill be wearing my KATG shirt on the 4th of July.

Lets promote this podcast. K.

I live in Halifax and have for three years but I don't know anything about the city. If someone wants to hang out I'm in.

Quoted for truth!

I lived in Halfax (well....Bedford) for 5 years, and it's a great place. And of all the comic book shops in the area, Strange Adventures is the best. Very cozy and cramped, in the good way. I bought a few figures there, some signed comics, etc, and my brother won a contest there some years back and got some Venom statue. Once my card was declined, and the clerk just said "meh, pay next time you're here". Very nice people.

I hope this meetup happens, it's nice to know there's enough fans way out east for one.

Donalbain 09-18-2010 03:18 PM

Im not going to the Halifax Comedy Festival this year.. due to some turn ups this last week and a half. But Im going to the Just for Laughs tour on the 23rd of October.

Jerry Seinfeld looking - funny guy Ryan Hamilton is on the tour. Looking forward to seeing him there, specially since hes been on the show before.

You guys can add me on facebook, just look up Michael Wilson. I should be the ginger one under the Halifax, NS Network.:)

I dont have any interesting halloween plans. I work during the day probably, so i'm gonna scare it up at work.

Mowzie, how are you enjoying Halifax so far?

Donalbain 12-07-2010 05:37 PM

Bump!

Albeit right now is a horrible time for plans, since december is by far my busiest month.

Man, this thread went nowhere slowly. Theoretically, fans of KATG should be the coolest people in Halifax. Certainly no one ever makes the connection when I wear a KATG shirt around town, which proves they're all uncool.

So my guess is that it's a problem of no one putting in the effort to set up a meeting. Even seeing as I'm normally not that social I'll still extent my place if anyone wants to get together and, what, drink and stuff?

It's off Spring Garden and a cool bohemian place. I'm thinking this Sunday if anyone's interested.

I'm curious to see who's up for this.

I already have 3 fetlife events this Sunday.
PM me if you ever want to meet up.

Practical Wizardry 03-20-2013 06:39 PM

Is anyone still into a meet up?

Just found the meet up section. Anyone feel like grabbing a drink? There has to be some Halifax KATG people left besides me.
