This interview with Ron Winckler is so interesting for a number of reasons. But what really made an impression on me is that he seems very disconnected from the downfall of his sons. Most people I know whose kids fall into these sorts of problems live a somewhat tortured existence due to guilt about all of the mistakes they made in not giving the kids a stable upbringing. Maybe Ron is the healthy one for being to move on from that--allowing his faith to take care of it or whatever. And it sounds like in the case of one of the sons, there is a serious mental illness which definitely has a genetic/brain chemistry origin. (Definitely nobody's fault)

This does provide an interesting story and certainly gives insight into Lauren's background. I do think Lauren is a person who seems to have a lot of insight about herself.

I'm halfway through part 2...how did Chemda not ask Ron if at any point he ever questioned the paternity of any of the three sons (but based on him as a person, it probably doesnt matter).

Parts 1 & 2 were a great insight into an interesting man's mind.


As an experiment, I plan to say "Ron Winckler says hello" to some random entities. I practiced this morning on my dog. He looked back at me, and his face seemed to say "you need to seek help".

Oh well. Fuck him. I've got opposable thumbs.

And I can't spell "opposable".
