Danny also plays some clips of his favorite songs of the year, which, obviously, his good buddies mercilessly tear apart and interrupt. That's okay, songs. You know you're great. Soooooooooooo, at the start this was on "the 26th" but later Chemda mentions there are two weeks left in the year?

I'm watching the youtube trailer while this episode is downloading and I can already tell this is ep is going to be amazing!!

Kurt Vile is one of the greatest musical artists of the last 10-15 years. It's unfortunate that more hosts, (beyond the humble Danny Hatch who understands these things) could respect that...

Also, I'm loving the lineup on this one. All mis favoritos KatG'uhz in one ep. Delicioso! That is Spanish. For amen.

This is only the second or third That's My Show I'm Danny I've watched on video first instead of hearing the audio version first, and that one thing, that Marisela does, at that one moment, which I won't spoil because I'm a good person and a hero, was neato.

The Recommendations section was also neato, because feeling bad for Danny feels so good.

Matter of fact the whole episode is neato so I hope a bunch of previously non-VIP KATGers had loved ones who loved them enough to buy them VIP memberships this Christmas so they can experience the magic of Danny and The Zoo Crew for 2014. Because That's The Show With Danny makes the world a better place.

Going through all the vids I see Danny w/ beard and sans beard and I gotta agree w/ that one girl who said Danny should keep the beard. He should. He looks like he's 15 without it. This is a compliment. He ages like Asians.

Really liked this episode, listened on podcast and then went back and watched the video. Aces.

What really strikes me is that I am going through the marathon right now, and this TTSWD looks back at the hour 11-12ish that I am listening to now. Danny is (was) a wreck, and is talking about all the downs of 2012 and the crap he is going through... it is like night and day hearing the same guy a year later.

Danny, you had a great year and I hope it keeps going. You remind me of when I went through similar stuff around age 22/23 -- left home town, met up with a group of people who liked me for me, discovered a lot about who I am and why that is good, and all that jazz. It sounds good on you. All the best for 2014.

This episode had the funniest moment I can remember in any of the previous TTSWD episodes...Keith, Chemda and Myka ripping Danny's heart out of his chest by ragging on his music amidst his tantrum about how deep and innovative he thinks it is.

I can really sympathise with Danny. When you have a certain bunch of songs or albums that really mean something to you and you try to show someone else what you are talking about it never goes well.

I've got a friend who placates me and will listen to whatever I throw on after I've had a few drinks and am waxing lyrical as to why these 3 seconds of this particular song are incredible. I'm not a lyrics guy so its even harder to explain how a guitar line can crush me.

We all love music and there are certain elements to music that can be appreciated easily by everyone; the beat, the melody, its cadence, etc... but once your own personal emotion ties to a song, it can be really hard to share that without seeming insane.

Good thing too, because it was fuckin hilarious to see Keith, Chemda and Myka take all of 1.5 seconds to destroy each song.
