Changing the Playback Rate has no effect on actual playback rate.

Downloads are one of the hardest parts of this app. I have a pending gut-this-code-and-rewrite-it task. I wrote my part of that task and now I'm waiting for a developer to give me theirs. I should have that next week, in time for the next update. That new code will fix all these download issues.

Regarding playback rate, it only works on Android v6+. What version are you using?

That should work then. I've only tested it in the emulator though. Can you please try using the Mixergy app and letting me know if the playback rate works there? I'm sharing a lot of code between those apps.

Keep in mind, download doesn't work at all. I'm trying to speed up on the streaming, not on a downloaded episode. So it's possible that doesn't work by design.

New build! katg-app-debug-2016.12.26.apk. This is a release candidate. Everything should be working. I completely rewrote the download process, so that should fix previous issues.

Episode downloads and playback are working.

Playback Rates still don't work. Tested on a Galaxy Tab S2 and LG G4 phone.

That's great to hear about the downloads.

I just released another build that has changes to how the playback rate is set. Let's see if this makes a difference.

Fixes the playback speed issue! Good job!

One thing I notice, which would only show up during a holiday. For the last week and a half, there have been free VIP shows in the main feed. The app doesn't show those. And if you go to the specific VIP feed, you can't download the show which is free in the main feed. (Danny's 12.22 show, for instance.)
