29: Mehran Khaghani's First Time

The hilarious and energetic Mehran Khaghani joins us to talk about his beginnings as well as his confrontations with Joe Rogan and Roseanne Barr. The gang talks about using laughter to combat physical violence, the comedy that changed their lives, and the hypocrisy of morality. Mehran describes the cocaine use on Last Comic Standing and how that show led to him regularly performing at the world-famous Comedy Cellar.

Too much greatness to pick a favourite moment but his story of fronting Rogan was the one that almost made me #MehranSqueal.

I love that story. To me it was nothing about staying in your lane. That was the right thing to do for something that happened to hit at the right time and that’s funny as fuck.

not sure how much this matters but the latest episode is not showing on starburns site yet. My favorite bit was when Chemda said she was gonna bully Mehran. Also appreciated his take on the Norm thing, very different than the opinions expressed in a previous episode of the main show.

My recollection is that you and Chemda didn't like Norm's Down Syndrome tweet (episode 2938) but Mehran celebrates it because comedy. But hey, I've been wrong before!

Ah yes.

Norm’s an idiot goofball and that wasn’t even doubling down. That was a separate unrelated joke. But I like Mehran’s pretend controversial stances.
