I kept hitting the restart button, I think probably 6 times. It took me half an hour to get past the first five minutes of the show.

After that wedding I realize I've got to make more black friends now.

Fuck jumping the broom, it's going to be Stomp the Wedding all up in that bitch.

Why would you need Black friends to recreate a video full of white folks?

This show featured two of my favorite tings: Keith's Samantha voice, and Patrice's carribean accent. Brilliant!

Also, in talking about what Twitter can do for you, I came across this blog post the other day about Twitter and vacations:tripso.com | 6 ways to leverage social media for a better vacation. The beginning of the article was about a woman who twittered Virgin airways because her kids were stuck on the tarmac and she did not know what to do about it. She tweeted, and a couple of minutes later someone from Virgin called her back. Much better than the gate agents who often don't know shit.

I loved what McNally had to say in the bit at the end, especially the stuff about how watching (or hearing) Keith work in interview situations is pretty amazing radio-fu. I was thinking a similar thing the other day, just how he seems like he was born for radio in a way that's very, very rare.

But I do like to get in an argument or two on the intardnet sometimes, with anonynous peeps who have silly names, because they'll challenge you if they disagree and if they're any good they'll make me think about my own position in ways I might not have thought of before. And if they're not any good it's entertaining to watch them flail and rage impotently, so it's win-win.

And, like Junk said, if I give someone big-ups in an email or something, it's out of genuine appreciation. Anonymous we may be, but that's generally the nature of the audience anyway, it's just how showbiz works.

Which makes you either a scientist (you appreciate someone who can disprove what you say as making a positive contribution) or a grown-up (you don't believe yourself infallible).
But how do you respond when somebody agrees with you, without contributing anything new?

Am I the only one that thinks the wedding dance video is incredibly tacky and cheesy?
No one in the video is (or comes across as) a good dancer.
I just can't see why everyone is so dumbstruck by this video, it's not like the actual ceremony is a wild coke orgy or something interesting like taking place while sky-diving (most interesting wedding I could think up of off-hand).
Who cares?
Chances are that they're just two of those douches you see on MTV reality shows all the time, proclaiming how unique they are.
