Talk about not answering a straight question with a straight answer; Dan always seems to respond to direct questions in a meandering fashion until Keith, Ray or Chemda pull him up on it. By mid-way through the show he seemed to be genuinely pissed off; did I hear him threaten to slap Ray? Come on boys, who are you - Newsy & intern?
Nice to see 'Samantha' grace the show with her presence again; twice is one week - lucky us. The choking on the dick thing was a nice touch. You're definitely adding layers to her character Keith, this one's a real onion... I don't agree with this girl suing her college; she sounds like a twit. There's only so much a college can do to help, even if they did indeed promise her a job - which to begin with doesn't seem entirely credible to me. If the college had any sense they would have some sort of clause or stipulation in the fine print so this type of lawsuit couldn't happen. However on the provision that they don't, I still think the college can only do so much to assist with job placement (insert lead horse water drink paradox here). There are many reasons by which she could have been at fault for not being able to get a job, e.g bad attitude, shitty GPA, bad interview etc. In the end, if she wins the lawsuit then she should have the degree withdrawn also. Extraction of information from her brain would be a pragmatic exercise, but probably not too advantageous - it doesn't appear much information sunk in there anyhow. In conclusion, I enjoyed the show, both these guys are great guests and always have funny stories. The banter between Keith, Ray and Dan was very entertaining - you roast the ones you love right? This Thompson vs Monroe thing sounds ridiculous to me. A college degree does not get you automatically a job. Most of the time it doesnt. There are skills required to find a job, and they're something that you have to learn on your own. Of course some coleges boast their ability to get you employed. It's part of the marketing. But believing it just proves that you're naive.
PS: Did you like "The Descent", cat? |

Ray was aces. His happily sarcastic comments were amazing!
From my outsider point of view, Dan got pissed on the spot (there was more than a hint of anger in his tone) but it was something he and Ray will sort out. The "i'm gonna punch your balls" line was guy talk, that's all. My dream would be a Jesse Joyce audio commentary for this episode... It would be like when Adam comments Keith's DVDs. a treat. |

Did anyone else find it totally hot when they were talking about wrestling? All that talk about the dominating and the taunting and the power games? And Chemda's feistiness, I know it drives Keith nuts sometimes but, and I admit it's a different story when you're about seventeen million miles away instead of facing her down across a poker table or a game board or having her kick your electronic gadgets across the room, it's one of the things I like so much about her.
Yes he was, he's always absolute gold on the show, plus his laugh is the best. Last edited by Bucho; 08-06-2009 at 04:38 AM. |

About the Monroe-suing lady - I got my Master's degree in April with a 3.7 GPA and I'm starting my new job next week. From what I've read that's a pretty normal length of time to find work, especially right now. As ridiculous as it is to promise employment, it's ridiculous to believe that promise. You can't force anyone to hire anyone.
