A selling point of glass dildos in general is that you can chill/warm them. Somebody needed to let the tweens in on it, I guess. I remember being 12 and thinking my masturbation was just too goddamn vanilla.

I have to agree completely with Keith with his stance on great bands doin' shitty albums in the eighties, and synthesizers killin rock. Totally true. people who know queen for Radio Ga Ga have no idea about what they're missing.
I like a lot more what hair metal basnds did in they nienties, when they did heavier stuff. It was more bearable than eighties pop Plus disco is good if you're dancing. I dont understand people who listen to, say, techno with headphones or in a car... On Germany and Nazism... The best researches that we have on the issues are from german holocaust survivor or their families. But it's true that the media and the people hate to discuss it. It's like Italians and the mafia. We acknowledge it but we're embarassed about it and dont want our nation identified with it. A guy i knew from Berlin actually told me: "Why everyone has to talk about nazis when they mention Germany, it was 50 years ago". It's silly but isee whre it might come from. PS: Two of my favourite females from KATG (Dina and Lauren) at the same time! Yeah! That somehow soothes the Patrice withdrawal... Last edited by Junkenstein; 08-22-2009 at 01:23 PM. |

The worst thing about Queen using synthesizers (and lending credence to the idea that they did, in fact, "sell out") is that on every album before The Game they went out of their way to make known that they didn't use them, going so far as to print "No Synths!" in the linear notes. And once they started they went really crazy on them. Still, the Flash Gordon soundtrack is awesome and pretty much entirely synthesized.
Hot Space is most certainly their worst album (until the one that came out after Freddie died) but it still has great stuff on it that isn't overly synthesizer laden. Regardless though, I don't think it's categorized as disco. Seems like that has somehow come to mean any dance music released pre-1990. And after Hot Space, while never giving up that synthsound completely, definitely returned to being a rock band. "Radio Ga Ga" notwithstanding. |

It's not like you couldn't talk about nazis in Germany, every school kid learns about that part of our history for example, but yes, it definitely still is a sensitive issue.
I think it's just like the example Chemda mentioned about the indian history in America. You can talk about it but you have to be careful about what you say. Is that the right thing to do? I don't know, I guess Germany might be a bit oversensitive but I also think that this will change in the future (I know that I don't feel the need to cencor myself because of what happened back then; the generations that have a problem talking about it (out of shame? out of guilt?) will soon be gone). |

this show sucked
Yea, I imagine I'll be abused in the forums and chat for that statement. I give no fucks. This show sucked more than any KATG that I've listened to. Really, consider doing a show for forum gossip and people you're fucking. It isn't entertainment to most people. |

i believe that in vegas casinos a bartender is never more than arms length away from a bottle of galliano for the exact same type of situation lauren was in.
i had a buddy who was vegas for a little while. he was told there was more than enough case law to prove it is ok to hit someone if they reach over the bar. |

Man, I like Jeremy too and I haven't seen his twats so I really don't want to include him in this, but fuckin A it's pretty stupid when people just blurt out emotions onto Twitter and Facebook. It's like people think that only putting the drama of their emotions into public makes them somehow enigmatic or interesting.
NO FUCKOS!!! Having feelings only makes you like all the other 6 billion people on the planet! What's interesting is what happened and how you tell that story. How you feel about it comes second. You think that people are going to read your twit of, "I feel like sleeping on the train tracks tonight," and they'll think, "Woah, that person must be deep and dark and interesting to have this angst in their heart," but what they really think is, "Oh look, there's someone with emotions so it must be a human being and not a cat who somehow learned to use twitter. I guess they're bored and want attention." Being bored doesn't make you interesting, it makes you boring. If you really are in trouble then be an adult and have some dignity and reach out for help, don't drop attention-seeking hints and think help is going to come to you. In other rivetting feedback, I endorse the jacking off technique of head off the bed and legs crossed. I haven't done it for years because now I always like a screen in front of me (maybe I need some kind of porn holding suspension apparatus) but I do remember it's pretty great. |
