Didn't they fire that dude for doing that? I remember thinking that was bullshit. They wrote the storyline, they told him what to do, and then they fired him when it brought about a bunch of controversy.

From what I read on wiki, a match was setup to depict him getting seriously injured so they could remove him from thier programming due to pressure from both UPN and the public. I think they kept his manager and he ended up managing the Great Khali.
