I shot a real gun for the first time a week ago, SSG's springfield xdm-40 (like I know what that means). If I wasn't for absolute certain, I sure as fuck am now that I am a pussy. Something about its actual capacity for death scares the shit out of me. That being said I am intent on conquering it. SSG is teaching me and I had a good chit-chat with The Gunner. Keith, dear, if you are going to have any kind of pseudo firearm around and intention of eventually owning a real one go ahead and start practicing safe handling of your weapon. Good habits are good for everybody. Let's learn together.

I never understood why we were supposed to feel bad for the people. Maybe because if I were in that position I would be shitting my pants constantly..Also, it always seems that while they're locked up they try to break out or say something shitty to a judge. If I were stuck in a jail in Peru I would chill the fuck out, be nice, and wait. |

I vant see why i should fell bad for somebody who gets jail (even very harsh jail) after committing a crime, but when i bring up that argument in any conversation i'm accused to be some sort of ultra-reactionary cold-hearted asshole.
I think that the major fault of movies like midnight express is that they make people focus too much on the "plight" of criminals (Because in the end, Billy Hayes was a drug smuggler), and forget that laws and rules exist for a reason. |
