Some corrections:

A fatwa is scholarly opinion on a religious matter. Fatwa has been used to incite followers to take action frequently by citing references in the Qur'an. A religious war (enemies of the state) is Jihad. I have lived in the Middle East for 10 years.

Orangutan is a Malay word. I have lived in South East Asia for 15 years and I speak Malay.

Do you have any comment on what the Israelis are doing in Palestine?
obviously NOT the last post.

Humans have the tendency to self annihilate, kill each other and act aganst their own development, so if we took religion away, they would just find a different cult to justify their lack of direction, fear of the unknown and need to segregate.

I think that trying to help people evolve is an idealistic exercise in futility. People have evolved enough already.
interesting, do you suppose the inevitable total decay of civilization will occur in my lifetime? like.. should i plan a party or something? cause i have a bag of chips that i was gonna eat but if shit's going down soon i'll save them.

you have a weird thing of taking what i'm saying very super literally. i can't tell if you're disagreeing or agreeing with me about modern use of fatwas? cause you kinda repeated what i said.

i believe the etymology of the orangoutang spelling comes from the dutch, and a perfectly acceptable alternate spelling in the english language. i'm glad you can speak a language with a completely different alphabet, not sure what it has to do with this thread at all. there are actually a number of ways to spell orangoutang - probably a result of it originating from a different alphabet, still not sure why you felt my spelling was a point to make in this discussion, but since we're sharing our talents i can run 14km without stopping.

i'm not sure what israeli palestine thing you're referring to specifically.. the whole thing in general?

i like the narrative of whether or not there will be more posts <--(not sarcastic) <-- also not sarcastic

Yoav, I am pointing our your obvious mistakes of spelling, definitions of words etc. as a way of illustrating your general lack of intelligence. But you are doing OK at displaying your lack of intelligence without my help, so maybe I don't have to do this any more.

Malay has been an alphabet-based language for 400 years. The derivation of orangutan is from the Malay "orang" which means "man" and Hutan "forest". See how they did that?

I have run 5 marathons in the last 3 years ... 14k is a jog.

I was presuming you had a Jewish background, which is why I asked. You didn't seem to mention Judaism in your anti-religious rants. I could be wrong about that.
I can't stop myself

lol i kept looking up "Malai" which linked to tamil thinking it was a derivative. all that proves is i'm mildly dyslexic.. but i've already talked about dyslexia on the forums.. still a good point that you've made in defending the merits of turning your brain off... although i can't really control my dyslexia; i should double check things more often instead of trusting that i saw what i saw. cause until your last post i really did see malay as malai.

HOWEVER
i still disagree that my spelling of orangoutang is inaccurate as i did double check that and it appears in every dictionary in my house and was taught to me when i was in school. seems weird that the whole world disagrees with your insistance on your single spelling..

orangoutang - Wiktionary
orangutan - Wiktionary

i'm reading here that there are several dialects of malay.. do you speak them all? regardless according to various sources on the internet:

"The Malay language came into widespread use as the trade language of the Sultanate of Malacca (1402 – 1511). During this period, the Malay language developed rapidly under the influence of Islamic literature. The development changed the nature of the language with massive infusion of Arabic, Persian and Hindi or Sanskrit vocabularies. Under the Sultanate of Malacca the language evolved into a form recognizable to speakers of modern Malay."

malay, and hence the word orangutan was derived from many different alphabets and "oral interpretations" it could have easily been spelled in other dialects and other points in history as "orang" and "outang" which must be why there are so many valid spellings in english including:
orang utan
orang-utan
orangutang
orangoutan
orangoutang

perhaps a dutch guy heard orangoutang and wrote it down as such, and a british guy heard orangutang and wrote it down that way. i'm only speculating here based on limited reading - the fact remains that you're wrong, and there are multiple spellings of orangoutang in the english language.

i'm very impressed with your 3 marathons. i think during a marathon it would be impossible to "run" the entire way. but i didn't know it was a contest? i thought we were just talking about personal accomplishments. should i post my resume or something? dick size? what exactly are we competing about? what does any of this have to do with you hurting civilization by participating in a hate filled system?

you're entirely wrong about not mentioning judaism. aside from constantly referring to the entire abrahamic tradition (including judaism all the way up to rastafarianism), i also referred specifically to talking to several rabbis and finding out they didn't believe a word of the torah or religion despite presenting a front that the did and my disdain for jewish settlements ie: ultra religious jews building settlements to expand the borders of israel, etc. as an example of what kind of shit mindless worshipping creates. the kind that you do, and are brainwashing your family to do.

since a significant amount of my posts in this thread refer to judaism i question whether you read anything i wrote? if not, why do you keep addressing me in this thread? it feels like maybe your wife took over the discussion after you left and didn't bother to read the first half to find out that we were actually talking about you being a brainless empty shell of a human being waiting for your next instructions and supporting a system that breeds violence and hatred.

i'd be happy to answer your question about israel in palestine i just don't know whether you were referring to those settlements i mentioned earlier, or the foundation of israel itself after ww2, since i referenced both in this discussion.

you seem not to be making any sense in this thread, and being completely random - like if someone poured water on a robot and wrote down different things it said. you're basically the stereotype of the religious mindless zombie. congratulations for proving my point with every post you make.

Thank you ... and it was 5 marathons. Looks like you have learned something about Malay, apart from the spelling of Orangutan. And I do speak a few dialects.
