google 'dc cop gun snowball fight' and you'll find at least one media outlet you can vaguely trust.
Oh, ok. I didn't realize there was another. Still, I think knowing there's a snowball fight a few yards away, going toward it, and being surprised when you get hit to the point of pulling your gun is an overreaction. I am curious if his supervisors talked to him, since he's off-duty and his department may have regulations about the use of the weapon out of uniform.

Well, the cop is facing suspension over it....I'm sure only because of all the video and photographs floating around the Internet. I do find it humorous that the cop says he thought the people were "anarchists." WTF?

Still I have to agree with Keith that these twenty-something GROWN ASS ADULTS should have known better. We had an incident in downtown Madison after a huge blizzard where these asshole college kids rolled a huge snow boulder that was easily taller than a person and just left it in the middle of the street. Those fuckers should've been arrested, too. Thankfully nobody hit it with their car.

Edit: This is the earlier snowball fight in December that thepetek referenced above.

QUOTE: Baylor told investigators he "believed the group were anarchists," according to the report. When a snowball struck Baylor in the face, "he got scared and drew his weapon, keeping it by his side pointed down."

This guy is an idiot, he shouldnt even be a cop in the first place. Of course grown ass adults thatplay snowball games are gaytarded, but that doesnt allow paranoid idiots to pull out guns according to their weak nerves. This is the type of idiots that give real cops a bad name.

I'm in favour of harsh policework but this is just stupid.

I saw Anjelah Johnson's hour long comedy special on Comedy Central about a month ago and I thought it was really funny. (She played Bon Qui Qui on Madtv).

I'm also a college/sorority girl and I would have voted for Pat but I guess he doesn't want my vote... so Go Jesse!

Did Douce ever submit a stand-up entry? Have we heard anything from him lately?

Keith, please do not watch A Serious Man. It's a great movie, you'll hate it. It "doesn't have an ending" and you'll be saying "He has a bad life, I geeeet it." Just don't bother. I don't want to hear you rip apart another great film.

The youngest "kid" was 17? Correct? Nope, cop was completely in the right. The weapon charge may be a little harsh, however, with their previous incidents, eh, ok, you get a littlde more harsh punishment since you have a record already.

Once again to be clear, THEY ARE ADULTS!!

So if a cop is walking next to a place where a bunch of people playing paintball, he's allowed to execute them because they should act their age?

Dealers and gangbangers must be laughing their ass off.

So if a cop walks onto a baseball field where adults are playing and gets hit by accident by a ball rolling on the ground, are you saying he should shoot everybody on the field? And then the people watching?

Only if he is on duty and the exact same applies if he is at a hockey rink.
