I thought id man up and put mine on here too
Im the australian guy that submitted heres my stuf i thought id put my stand up because during the show it was cut off after i joke that i didnt intend to be the punchline for that section.
Theres two analogies after the pope bit and the first one i put in there as a lite exaggerational stepping stone (if that makes any fucking sense) because i thought the second analogy which finishes that joke was too obscure to put in there without a buffer. Stand up FOUR.mp3 i think the my submission gets better towards the end and any constructive feedback is welcome. Props to the samantha guy, i was laughing balls you've got my vote |

I completely agree. But as fucked as it might seem, there's a LOT of people who are convinced that fighting is wrong and must be always avoided. The "take the high road" brigade.
I remember and ex girlfriend of mine who busted my balls because i started a fight with two assholes who were being loud, aggressive and obnoxious and attacking her. I defended her and she tought i was an asshole because i coiuld've gotten us in "worse trouble". Happened other times too. Apparently sticking up for yourself is stupid for these people, and fighting is ALWAYS wrong. My father, for example, was a big abuser in his own family circle, but i always saw him back off from fights or arguments, cause he said "if you punch people, they'll end up sending you to the hospital or in jail". Typical coward dipshit mentality. And i'm listening to "Children of the Grave" while typing this, so i'm head-bobbin and angry!

I sent in the Samantha submission. I have exams in April so I wouldn't be able to make it out. I'm also INCREDIBLY shy (on stage, at least) so that wouldn't be happening. I'm glad you liked the the stand-up, though.
I won't toot my own horn, but why I think Scooter's submission worked is that he told JOKES! Chemda's right, almost all the other submissions are just "humourous anecdotes". |

Call me black sheep, but i dont like Scooter's submission at all. The only bit that really made me laugh was the non-retard voice. Also i really dont see him holding that shtick for 5 whole minutes. And it smells of anti-comedy like Andy Kaufman, which i do not like.
If i had to cast a vote, my heart is only for Angie. |

As soon as he did that, and I was finally sure he was acting, it became unfunny. Does that make me a bad person? Should comedy be quite so dependent upon what you know about the performer? |
