You guys missed one of the most disturbing aspects about the New Jersey woman. Keith portrayed her husband as this long suffering victim of her appetites, but that's incorrect. He's a feeder, so he encourages this and wants her as fat as possible -- they even met at a plus size dating event. She is also part of the fat fetishist porn market. She makes money by charging men subscription fees to watch her eat food (and wash!) on her website.
Also, she's already been offered a reality show. Old Bridge woman seeking 1,000 pounds gets offers for reality show, book deal | - NJ.com Chemda made a comment that this media attention was "making it okay." I really don't think that's why she's getting the attention. It's more of the freak show aspect that Keith touches on when he talks about Coney Island. IMO, these reality shows are all descendants of the freak show. People love to see weird ass shit.

Yes! Finally my terrible matchmaking gets me the attention I deserve. I hope someday Bravo or VH1 gives me a show of trying to fix people up and failing every time. I think that could be good TV.
And I'm with Chemda on thinking the 600+ pound woman should be investigated by Child Services, if she isn't already (and I doubt that she isn't). How could a child possibily learn healthy behavior from a mother like that? How could a mother possibly care for a small child properly (washing, feeding, exercising, medicating when necessary) when she weighs that much?

What the fuck? Let's take kids away from disabled people, too. A blind woman won't be able to see if her kid is getting into things, and a deaf woman won't hear it cry, and someone in a wheelchair can't do any of those same things you list above. And don't get me started if they are missing an arm! |

Disabled people are disabled because of an accident or becuase they are born that way. With due help, they can raise kids properly.
A 600+ pound woman probably has some psychological issues (it cannot be ONLY a gland problem) that hamper her ability to take care of her kids. Not saying that this is the case, but an investigation wouldnt be so weird and far-fetched. I'm so sick of this mentality according to which, anyone who gives birth to a kid is entitled to raise them, wether they are able to do it or not. If there are signs that you couldnt be a good mother, you cannot keep or have kids. Parenting is a responsibility for responsible people.
