Twitter / youtube comments /facebook jokes are kinda the new "airplane food" jokes in modern comedy.

Unless the joke is very clever and funny i tend to loose enjoyment of a comedian if he does that type of stuff...

I kinda heard the "Hey have you ever noticed how on facebook (or twitter) people post everything they're doing? Like, does anybody really care in real life?" or "What's the deal with LOL? Do people really laugh out loud so muuuuch?" done by at least three or four comics.

of course social network jokes are a dime a dozen but i aint heard me no forum jokes. social networks are normal people being idiots, but forum people are much weirder creatures who dwell in basements and are alergic to sunlight. there not as cool and trendy as vampires so i think there more like the tings in i am legend.

Who would laugh at Forum Comedy, seriously?

Brian Posehn and Patton Oswalt do a lot of very nerdy jokes and they already have to explain what they're talking about.

Comedy audiences are usually drunken retards who at most use the computer to post pics of their pets or secretly watch asian kiddie porn.

Unless you want to do the Nerd/Geek circuit and then you'd have to cope with sweaty 40 year old virgins who heckle you like "well, actually, the number you have under your avatar (slurp) isnt a thread count but a post count (slurp)"

God. That's horrifying.

Comedy involves pain, suffering and humiliation. That's why i laugh at it and am scared of trying it

It could work. After a few years I think you could get a cult following of forum nerds.

If I recall correctly Aziz Ansari did a thread count bit on Conan a few months ago. Also Egyptian cotton ranges from 600-1500..Where does one have to fall to not be offensive?

True, Aziz Ansari has a good number of "hahaha Teh internets" jokes. One of the reasons for my sheer hatred of him.

just kidding! it was great but the lovefest on this thread was getting on my tits and if myq's ego gets anymore inflated we will have to write goodyear on it and fly it over football games.
You're a blimp. Just kidding. You're nice, and probably not a blimp. And don't worry, my ego is under constant attack from all sorts of other sources.
(That's the thing, when your ego is a blimp, all it takes is one air harpoon to bring you down.)

You're not the first person to say that.

I think it's us, right now!

If Myq gets tired of stand-up, and Micah gets tired of having sex in weird places, they could try as a modern indie rock band. They got the voices. They might put Myka in there too.
The alliteration of the names could give them an edge already.

PS: rodimus, i feel dumb everytime i read Myq's tweets. Gotta find a way to gain that cleverness: It's either being jewish (seems to work in the comedy world) or the shrooms. Or the linguistics degree. Man, too much work already. I'd rather stay dumb.
That sounds like a smart thing to say.

And sounds like a plan for if we all get tired.
(Though I don't know if having sex in weird places is something that keeps a person from being a rock star. So Micah is already part of the way there.)

It's time for Dr. Bathroom to go and take a dump.
"Paging Dr. Bathroom: you've been in there for 40 minutes."
It's time for Dr. Bathroom to stop eating cheese and ice cream.
It's time for Dr. Bathroom to admit he might be lactose intolerant.
