I haven't heard the show yet as I was running late but I just arrived in the chat and heard the news.
I feel like a super big loser for crying. It's like hearing your parents are getting a divorce. Is there a support group for this somewhere? |

To paraphrase the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air:
"Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside-down, and I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you about how Keith and Chemda are no longer a pair." From the second you two announced that you had broken up to when Keith had finished discussing his upcoming three-day vacation, I still thought I was witnessing the greatest Lobelling the show had ever seen. Then the music started, and just like the final episode of LOST, I realized I was going to have to start the episode over again so I could understand what the fuck had just happened. Only instead of feeling like I wasted the last six years of my life, I know I'm going to feel like I just spent the last year-and-a-half listening to a pair of people who despite enduring the end of the relationship that defined the majority of their personal and professional adult lives still managed to produce a high-quality, entertaining podcast five days a week. The fact that you were able to go this long without revealing any clue that your relationship had ended and then discussed it with such heartfelt candor reminds us all why Keith and Chemda are the undisputed king and queen of podcasting. I can't wait to listen to the episode again at work on Tuesday, hopefully without squirting any tears in front of my co-workers. Thanks again for all that you do. You're both Aces-10, without a doubt, and the best of luck to both of you as you move forward with your personal lives. KatG will still be as awesome as it has always been, and Brumski to anyone who says otherwise. |

Now why would you feel like a looser for feeling sad?
Apart from the awesome content, the SUPER talented hosts, the awesome guests and always delivering the funnies; one thing that makes KaTG so cool is the community and how all of us have let this show inside our daily lives. So it's very logical to let things affect you, if you ask me. People get Tatoos with the logo, for God's sake! that's how HUGE Katg is for most of us, their fans The good news? If we didn't feel anything change in all this time, then everything will be as cool as it's been. Probably even better and maybe even spicier So yeah... The support group idea is pretty cool, and I think we're in for a pretty cool new phase of KATG Hugs all around, just because.

Look Here:
I was already seeing some bullshit in the chat about picking sides, Team Chemda, Team Keith. Whatever.
Team KATG. Don't fucking do this. Be happy they told you at all. They respect their fans enough to be straight with them...you... us. I'm in their lives daily and I'm not even the least bit upset that they didn't tell me. It's their business. Viva KATG. If they've been able to pull this off this past year while being broken up, it's only going to get better from here. Imagine how much more honest they'll be able to be. I can't wait to see Keith's OKCupid profile. Shit, I might even hit him up. Please, I'm begging as a friend, a fan, and an intern: Do not make this into a negative thing. They need our support now more than anything. Not just by donating (Donate - Keith and The Girl Free Comedy Talk Show), but they need to know that the community they've built up this far, is strong and loyal enough to stick with them through this. -Newsy Chu |
