I thought the poll would be "Is Keith a Racist" I'd be interested to see what the outcome would be.

My answer would be no but wow Keith just wow.

I actually like The Warriors, but I've just come to know that Keith and myself don't usually agree on movies. I don't think the gangs are badass but I do think they're cool. I really like the imagery of the film (like Chemda was saying: NYC at night in the 70's, the clothing, etc).

The Lovely Bones was pretty bad, though. It didn't bore me but everyone was saying "it's so beautiful, and about acceptance, getting over loss, etc, etc" but I found it was just depressing.

I voted Yes.

I am white and have visited the inside of my locker on more than one occasion when I was in jr/sr high school (it was just one school).

I would have vote "No" to keith's poll, but I had to think about it. I personally have never been a black person and been called that "N" word, but I have been white and been called the other "N" word.

Some might say that Black people were born that way and did not choose to be black, its just part of their genetic make up. In the same way, I was born poor and with bad eyesight, so had to wear big ugly glasses.

BUT... I am still not sure that I would say It was the same thing (but it was close).

The warriors sucked

YES!

Thank you, I saw this piece of shit when I was 19 around a bunch of friends who saw it as kids.

The speech in the beginning and the clanging bottles, ONLY GOOD PARTS

That movie was fucking boring.

Totally on Keith's side about no excuse for old movies getting leeway.

I like Pat Dixon, but he does what most comedians do and adds another comedian's joke into a conversation as if they thought of it. The thing where he made a joke about Maria from West Side Story was word for word a joke I saw from a stand up back in the early 90s. I can't find any video of it to back up my claim, but he knows I'm right.

It may have been Pat in the early 90's, it's my understanding that he is very old.

On The Warriors

Keith's comment about why didn't they just get a car is moot because you could say that about any movie. Like Lord of The Rings: They could have just flown to the volcano. Things are done in a round about way in order to make a movie. There isn't a single movie where the main characters go the practical route to make their journey easier.

Also the reason they didn't have weapons is because it was part of the truce organized by the leader of the biggest gang who was in charge of the meeting. They didn't take they're weapons because The Warriors are the "honorable" gang.

Either way when watching a movie made in the late 70s you have to go in with expectations for a movie made in the late 70s.
