First job was hardees, just me, manager that did nothing, and an illegal immigrant cook.
This was back when the economy was somewhat good so we had trouble finding employee's to fill up so I was introduced to the work force with 60 hour weeks and a break on lucky days. At least if your a waiter you can sometimes make some kind of a living, but nobody can make a real living on fast food without being absolutely just defeated inside. The crap thing is I have been without steady work for a year and a half and these damn Fast Food places just will not hire me, my friends have been having similar problems and I think its because we are in college and like keith said they just don't want people who somewhat have their together. Meanwhile you can look in the back of the kitchen and nearly all of them don't speak English (thats why stations have "runners" and "handers" put a white face on the brown mans work) |

I worked at Cinnabon for a year and in a fast food kitchen at a Sports Club of rich fucks if that counts.
I remember every single procedure to make 90% of everything at each place. I also know far too much about Batman up to mostly 70s to now. Luckily I don't know specifics like Mike. But I do know specifics like Keith. Sigh and I am sure my brain could be better used than that lol. |

Wouldn't it be Jay-Z who is the idiot for making up a moniker that means nothing, therefore insinuating that he himself means nothing even though he built an empire on the illusion that he is everything? No? ...I'll be quiet now.

I worked retail through school. You lose your faith in humanity when you see stuff like some one taking a shit in the fitting rooms, or a couple trying to make out in a dirty men's bathroom, or getting yelled at and insulted the day after Christmas at the customer service desk.

I worked at Dunkin' Donuts in highschool, don't remember the actual dates, but it was over a year on and off. I guess it's different from McDonald's because the customers were mostly nice and we got tips that added like $2/hr. What made me quit was one day one dude called in sick and the manager was on the phone with his sister all day, so I had to do everything by myself. I finished the day and quit. And I wrote a guide on how to short-change the cash register, it comes up 3rd on Google for "working at dunkin donuts" which is sweet
(it was 1st for like 2 years before the whole SEO concept got invented) Working at Dunkin' Donuts@Everything2.com it didn't actually make me much more money (also, I'd have to put the theft proceeds in the tip jar, which meant I only got 1/3-1/5 of the loot), but it added a little excitement and made the hours go by faster. Also worked a second job in HS as a cashier at Shop Rite (grocery store chain on the east coast). I made a small Klein Bottle out of "Paid" stickers they had. I quit after I made $400 in a $5 poker tournament, which represented 4 weeks of shoprite pay, so I figured I could do better at that. |
