By the way, let me mention this - someone totally needs to make a KATG TV that shows the behind the scenes shenanigans of KATG the same way PATV shows the Penny Arcade peeps. I'd do it myself, but there's an ocean in the way.

Yeah, I can't recommend PATV enough, and that episode in particular. I am emotionally stable as shit and I have no problems with depression, but Mike talking about his anxiety issues started to make me think maybe my anxiety issues are something I can take steps to deal with. That episode certainly affected my view of medication in a positive way, anyway.

Social anxiety. Anxiety is a broad word that manifests in many different forms and doesn't just mean somebody wringing their hands and crying about everything. Anxiety is a sense of discomfort, uneasiness, or vexation, which in my case is brought about in social situations. I would hope most people would be able to handle being uncomfortable without having their emotional state punctured.

I completely agree.
I'm mostly a very content and happy person but I do have quite a bit of anxiety when it comes to social situations which mainly shows up as a diffuse feeling of "whaaa nobody will like me" and " whaaaa I'm fat and not interesting and everybody else is best friends already why would they talk to me ...bla bla bla" that happens before I meet new people but once I actually am in the situation and its not going horribly wrong I am perfectly fine and don't spend time overanalysing after the fact.
So yes I get nervous and scared once in a while but its not taking over my life or making me miserable for long stretches of time.
