Mississippi is on my list of states I never want to be in. Louisiana, too. And Alabama. And Georgia. I think you see the pattern.

Ugh, listening to Courtney Love reminds me of my pill head mother. She's been "sober" for 17 years but her ass is high as fuck every single day thanks to the miracle of modern pharmacology. She can tell you every single pill she takes and what it does, and what you're not supposed to mix it with. You know a pill head has reached ninja status when they carry all their drugs around in the same super-sized pill bottle and they can shake a handfull out and tell you every single pill by sight alone.

its a list of things that really rubbed me the wrong way. i understand how someone could like it, no problem. but it hought it was a movie made by an artsy director who was trying to be minimalist, flat, cold, with an overrated main actor that basically plays a parody of himself, a lot of unnecessary scenes that are put there for emotional effect and made me only feel like he was milking the "eomtional" indie sty6le, a pseudo amiguous ending that everyone brags about how its brave and realistic and its really unfinished. that year it was on everybody's mouth as the best movie of the year and i was disappointed and kinda annoyed when i saw it.
all i could think for 2 hours is that it was a 2 hours pity party for an asshole with a lot of snobbery i tried to like it and i just hated it more thinking about it. |

I get what you mean, I did not love it, but it did make me feel uncomfortable and tense throughout the movie...
Very few movies lately have made me “feel” anything so I’ll give it credit for that much. But yes it was a pretentious piece of work as well. |
