Well, I was afraid that people would immediately mention the fact that the Belgians were involved in creating problems between the black tribes there. Also, it wasn't a metaphor. The problems South Africans have with Zimbabweans is real. "District 9" was only mentioned because it was the first time I had heard about problems between the South Africans and Zimbabwe.

As a British person I gotta chip in about the Royal Wedding and say that I cannot believe it is being made a national holiday.These people have done nothing to deserve our attention, other than being lucky enough to come out of a certain person's vagina.Personally to me it means nothing more than two other strange people that I dont know getting married.But I guess like Jesse says, some people buy into the idea that these people are actually special in some way.

There's something to be said for having access to better education, interacting in more refined circles, and probably having better genetics. I wouldn't go so far as to celebrate their wedding though, but I wouldn't call them "just any two strangers," either.
