Well, of course. A job where customer interaction is required is going to require the person to be outgoing. So yes, HR will obviously seek someone...outgoing. I'm talking about the technical jobs.

Re the second, I can imagine you don't interview. At least not when it comes to non-customer service positions.

ive done interviews for the NPO, my word wasnt final, i mostly did a first impression thing.

all i know is that even when it came to technical positions, as in programmers and evrything out of three guys where two had great skills but were quiet or shy and one was maybe a bit less savvy but showed enthusaism and sold himself well, the third one usually got the job. theres alwys been a large part of "gut feeling" in the process and introvers give a bad vibe.

I hire programmers all the time. It's the "heads down guys" that generally do the best work. You know the kind I mean, you walk by their desk and they don't even look at you. Not the best social skills, but killer coders!

I know I could get a handle of social skills, they just never seem as captivating to work on as anything else I can think of doing.

It's difficult not to get obsessed with what I'm working on. Flipping modes requires conscious effort and I'm frequently too tired so do so.

I'm going to drink a beer now.

I love hearing Chemda and Jess complian about guys not giving a shit, because we all know women totally love to date guys who care and like to share feelings.

I know I'm being petty, but hearing jess talk about him like he is some kind of slacker leech and HE gets to have a GF and I don't, that shit just pisses me off (To be more specific, the fact that I don't understand it is what pisses me off)
