Just a comment on what myq said about DNA and how it could just be a brother. If you have someones DNA and you compare it to another, if they are related, depending on what markers match you can see if its the Father, Mother, Child of said person. So if they had his sons DNA to compare it to they could test to see if he was his brother or father.

I'm amazed at people saying that cheering over the death of Osama bin Laden is crass. The only thing stopping bin Laden from being Hitler is opportunity and resources. If you AREN'T cheering that that kind of evil is taken from the earth, I'm going to look at you funny. Life is sacred. Killing Osama bin Laden does more for people who love life than letting him live. I'll drink to that every day.

It is perfectly possible to mourn loss of a life to some small degree while being happy for the world in general that it is now a better place.

That's the only thing stopping most members of Al-Qaeda from becoming Hitler. He wasn't especially evil, he was just one of many.

Bin Laden's death won't change anything, would you stop all activity if the President got shot? No, you'd probably just fight harder.
The best we can hope for is Al-Qaeda devolves to infighting but their cellular nature means an overall leader or figure head like Bin Laden doesn't actually hold that much relevance.

I'm with Myq on this one. I understand people cheering for the death of this man, its not crass, its natutral.

But dont say "the world ius a better place" now. it isnt. the world is the same that it was before. he died too late and lots of blood was spilled in the meantime and more will bve spilled.

i'd cheer his death anyway, just cause he deserved to die, and as i mentioned in the other thread, i wouldve wanted his corpse to be exposed for the people. But the world wont change.

I guess him getting caught is a sign the terrorist world has passed him by. He was probably mostly retired and chilling in the palace instead of being out in the caves making VHS tapes.
