I don't understand the satisfaction that comes from reading (or watching) how to beat a game. But then, I don't understand how anyone would be able to play any of these games without watching (or reading) something. It just seems like a flawed system. But it's easy for me to say that about something at which I am completely inept.
(Also: This and the last show still aren't coming through iTunes for me. But I think I like this pupuplayer system better anyway. Do you get stats through it the same way?) |

well it is not like it is a puzzle game were once you know how to do it you are done. you can read and watch a lot about shooting a gun, and still not be able to hit a target. also you don't really beat games like mortal combat. the single player in games like that is mostly an afterthought and the point of the game is to beat other people.

The moves for any character you play are included in Mortal Kombat, and are accessible at any time during a fight. You just hit start, highlight "Move List", and bam: every move your character can do, plus one of the fatalities. Which is better than being in the booklet because you can lose a booklet; you can't lose the in-game material.

weird. only time i played mortal kombat or Street Fighter 2 was when they were in the arcade and i thought the moves were supposed to be secret.
didnt even know they were actually made available. if thats the way, then yeah, they should be in the manual. although it seems a bit like cheating. |
