Who finished Portal 2?
And made the youtube videos? Someone had to have done it.
Also LA Noire is a great change of pace from the 8 babillion shooter games that get released every year and I enjoy it a lot. Also I found the phone easy

LA Noire
I guess this guy made the comic before he played the game. Sounds like you both wanted to do the same thing. I would have bought the game based on this comic, but won't given Keith's review.

The tornado in Joplin was bananas! Joplin is about 3 hours south of here. It's my mom's home town and I have some extended family still there. I got the following email from my mom yesterday morning:
All our family is okay and have had no damage except for loss of power. She said the power poles are gone, so it will be a very long time before electricity is restored. Two of her brothers and their families were at one of their houses when the roof collapsed. One brother had to grab the other one in a headlock to keep him from being sucked out and blown away. She said the high school is gone and that little Baptist Church across the street where they used to go is gone. She knows at least four people that are dead. The "she" she is referring to is my cousin, who was the first person my mom got a hold of, due to no one down there having power. Apparently the citizens had 20 minutes from when the news said the tornado was coming to get cover before it actually touched ground. And a lot of the death count was from the town hospital, which was destroyed, and they just didn't have time to evacuate all the patients. All these natural disasters are really heart-breaking. http://www.buzzfeed.com/donnad/15-ph...oplin-missouri

i did my own tiny social study, since i'm a serious person and everyone who says Portal 2 is easy or that they finished it in less than 5 hours, is either lying, an antisocial nerd who cheated or didjnt really play it, read that on some weirdo game review site and is quoting that as fact.
Also they are all assholes and need to be shoved in a locker. i realized i like games but i hate 99.99% of gamers. |

Junk hates me.
I haven't tried either of the Portal games. Not really into puzzle platforms. I try to figure things out myself when I'm playing a game but I will admit to using the internet if I get stuck. A lot of games have their own wikis these days. |

i use walkthroughs too when i get stuck, who doesnt. i dont go saying "dude that was sooooooooo easyyyyyyy" or brag that i completed the level in a minute cause im super skilled, afterwards. youre supposed to have fun when you play. still when i talk to harcore gamers that tell me "if youre good at it you can solve most games in a couple of hours without ever dying" (quoting) "if you dont youre retarded", i just end up hating gamers as a group. happens a lot to me. i like stuff but i hate the communities behind it. they lack appreciation for their hobbies and make them look bad cause theyre assholes. i'm ashamed to say im a gamer these days cause everyone thinks gamers are fat childish shut ins who spend a million bucks a month for games. |

I wouldn't say Portal 2 was easy. It was absolutely entertaining and it took me like a week to beat it, with no outside help. I had several facepalm moments after realizing the solution "Duh, why would they put only that one seemingly random panel on the far wall that I can put a portal on."
I don't get people thinking that natural disasters are part of some sort of apocalypse, there have always been natural disasters, just with modern technology they seem worse. There was a crazy tornado a few hours south of me, that this podcast, based in New York, reported on, that people all across the world will listen to. A few hundred years ago, I wouldn't even have known about it, now people in Australia hear about it the next day. Same with the earthquakes in Japan, a few hundred years ago they would have knocked over some huts, now it caused a radiation leak that became a global concern. I read the poll before listening to the episode and I thought they same thing Keith said, if the victims are religious, they are assured that this guy went to Hell, any other way he could have repented. |

I absolutely beat portal 2 without cheating, including the multiplayer. However, it was not an easy task and it certainly took me more than 5 hours. I had cheated with the first portal game because some of those puzzles were ridiculous, there are often little nuances that if you don't notice you will miss for the whole game. Having beaten the first portal, I knew what game mechanics to expect, so I was better prepared.
Or so I thought. There were two levels I got stuck on, one for over an hour. I talked to my friend who had also beaten it without help, and he got stuck at the same stupid parts. Some of it is trial and error, and some of it is just "they did this for a reason, therefore..." So it isn't so much about beating the game itself, it is about beating the game developer and trying to think through them. It sort of takes you out of the game, which is unfortunate, but it was the only way I could beat it. |
