Those were my exact thoughts! Bwahaha.

I was on my way out the door when my superboss told me it was a stupid idea to leave. So I just joined the others and attempted to make sarcastically humerous jokes about the end of the world. They weren't pleased. Ohh well.

It seems like there are better ways to go about letting people smoke but also giving non-smokers a way to avoid it if we want to.
i talked to the owner of a place when the law passed and he basically told me that building a ventilated room would cost too much and people were pestering about cigarette butts outside, so he just banned all forms of smoking from his premise.

people got used to it but he lost a lot of clients mostly cause hard drinking party people all smoked back then.

Show me on the doll where the cigarette touched you.

You seem to be a little too into this smoking ban. It's unnerving. I don't smoke, but I don't mind people smoking around me, it's not like second-hand smoke is any worse than the car-exhaust you breathe in on a daily basis.

And it's not like smoke follows you around like a pack of wolves. Move 10-20 feet in either direction and you've escaped its nefarious clutches before it could touch you and give you instant lung cancer....

Because that's what it does...

Yep.

I don't smoke infact never did but lots of my friends do and I was used to it when it was allowed in bars/clubs. Now that it has been banned for a while and recently come places go back to allowing smoking due to some silly loopholes in the laws I notice how annoying it is but on the other hand it allows me to have my nonsmoker friends party close to me instead of them hanging out outside constantly - not 100% sure where I stand on that issue.

But really guys? Outside smoking in a park even? I couldn't care less - its outside, there is wind and fresh air let them smoke.

Then you haven't read my posts where I said that private businesses should have the right to determine their own policies regarding smoking and that private rooms are more equitable to everyone involved than forcing smokers to huddle outside. In short, you didn't pay attention to what I actually said. So fuck off.

And regarding the "just move away" argument, I do that. And then someone else lights up right next to me again. As Keith said on the show, smokers are not courteous about it. They just aren't.

I rather be surrounded by people on their cell phones in a city park than be near one person smoking. Never could stand the stuff.. The worse smokers are the ones that see you trying to walk past them so they try to keep pace with you so you can "share" in their smoky goodness.
