If you think smokers are considerate have a look at the smoking area of your work and report back. It's the dirtiest place at our work and even though there are 3 ashtrays in a small area the ground is littered with butts. Smokers may think they're considerate but have no real idea about how much more you notice when you're a non smoker because you aren't desensitized to it.

Search google for smoke butt litter and you'll see plenty of disturbing facts about how wide spread it is.
