I personally can't wait until we get the genetic mutation to turn our skin into metal like Colossus, or turn into anyone we want like Mystique, or shoot freakin' laser beams from our eyes like Cyclops. It'll happen any day now.
But also, just let Keith hate alien movies. They're not his thing. What's the big deal? I can't stand Westerns. There, I said it. Sacrilege. |

nobody likes westerns. theyre the pink floyd of cinema. everyone hates those but doesnt say it cause they think thy're being blasphemous. only westerns that are cool are the ones that are modernized like Tombstone.

Although I am going to watch True Grit but that's only because I love the Coen brothers. (Edit: whose names I apparently can't spell, I love them so much) No one likes Westerns? Then why are there so many of them? |

and most have seen them as kids so no one wants to admit they suck, like the Star wars movies. but i never heard onw person under 65 saying "i love western movies". they like a couple of those at best, or they like some director or actor who did those so they watch them (i think john wayne's charisma made people watch a lot of shit), but most people arent into the genre, its stale. even the ones who saw true grit did it either cause they're Coen fans and will watch any turd those two make (which has been the case for most of their latest movies), or cause they love jeff bridges, or cause they remember the original from when they were kids and are curious. |

i loved no country but i think they were helped by the cast and by the original story a lot in that one.
i hated burn, i hated a serious man even more, and even before no country they were doing a lot of lame shit. |

I still haven't even seen A Simple Man. It sounds boring to me. I liked No Country but despise Cormac McCarthy, who obviously wishes women just didn't even exist. I do agree with you; their older stuff is better. Looking over their IMDB page I see that I wasn't all that impressed with much that they've done between The Big Lebowski and No Country for Old Men. But Fargo remains in my top five movies and Marge Gunderson is one of my favorite film characters. |
