I don't have a problem with using your phone if you and it are both silent, so long as it's brief. Not checking it every two seconds, texting your buddy in the next row like some tool.
How are you meant to use apps like runpee if you can't use your phone in the theater? |

Look at it beforehand? Make a doctor's appointment because you ought to be able to not urinate for 100 minutes? Lots of choices. |

I do wonder how it went down. I'm sure they warned her before kicking her ass out. And she sounded so drunk and stupid that you know she didn't just turn her shit off. She was probably be slick and playing with the phone after warnings until someone had to kick her ass out. |

It never bothers me when people text in movie theaters, so when I first heard people complain about it, it would usually would surprise me. I guess my logic is that if the movie is interesting, then I'm too into the movie to notice the light. If the movie is shit, then I can't blame the person for texting. I don't really text that much myself, but honestly I wouldn't refrain from texting in a movie theater either. Talking on the phone or otherwise is a different issue. Although I'm not sure why people get pissed about other people talking on the phone while on public transportation.
With all that said, I'm not on the woman's side that got thrown out of the Alamo Draft movie theater. If going into any place I knew that they had a rule to keep off the phone or I would get thrown out, I would definitely refrain. |

I usually sit near the back of a theater, and I hate seeing people on their phones during a movie. It's distracting. There's a reason they turn the lights off to show the movie. One source of light only. People who think they're being subtle are not. It's rude, but I doubt it stops. |
