I don't like horror movies, but I do like Halloween themed movies. Kid's movie that I really like - Spaced Invaders Favorite Halloween movie - Bruce Campbell vs. Army of darkness. Sci-fi/horror - Event Horizon British Horror/comedy - Shawn of the dead I really liked Chemda "Why do white people have to open up boxes?" |

Thanks Keith and Chemda for keeping the show going this week. I'm learning more about what life is like in NY post Sandy then I do from CNN. Also reminds me of when I first started listening 6 years ago except with better sound. Two of you chatting and reviewing weird movies.
But -- the popcorn glove.. popcorn might taste like latex. Hide a dollar in there. xxMarga Branch Manager!!! Last edited by edgycandy; 11-02-2012 at 03:20 AM. |

I remember seeing the Whites of West Virginia some time ago. I think the BEST parts had to be whatever the fuck that county was called "mating call"; the shaking of a prescription pill bottle. That and the dumbass who thought he would get off on all those charges because he thought he was cool with the Judge lol.
Edit: Place: Boone County and dumbass: Brandon White. Last edited by JSZilla; 11-02-2012 at 10:05 AM. |

Hustle and Bustle way up in the holler
[QUOTE=JSZilla;737098]I think the BEST parts had to be whatever the fuck that county was called "mating call"; the shaking of a prescription pill bottle. QUOTE] Agreed! I gotta say, though, that the son of legendary Hank Williams; Shelton Hank Williams lll, aka Hank3, playing the acoustic guitar was awesome. That guy plays an amazing show that is split between the first set being alt-country and the second set hardcore metal. I've never seen anything like him before. Also, a lot of us have white-trash roots; it's just when you embrace this level of ignorance and laziness, (and/or find yourself in Boone County, Virginia) that you should consider suicide. You know, for the good of the human race and all.

3 recent horror movies you may want to catch
My wife got on a kick last Halloween to watch some horror movies.
We went through some classics (Exorcist) and remakes (Tegsas Chainsaw & House on Haunted Hill) but 3 whcih were worth it were" Insidious The Last Exorcism The Exorcism of Emily Rose. (just don't watch it at 3;30am) Insidious was probably the best of the 3. As a nod to Harry Potter - We recently saw The Woman in the Black Dress was also pretty good. I think Chemda mentioned EMily Rose. Look for Dexter's sister on that one. Last edited by Black Bart; 11-02-2012 at 11:56 AM. |

horror movies
you really need to go back in time to have some good horror experiences . Try watching these with fresh eyes and forget that they had sequels.
Holloween, Hellraiser, Childsplay, A Nightmare on Elm's Street, John Carpenter's The Thing. I really don't think anything has been original since those times. Yes, you will have to suspend belief because the special effects back then wasn't up to what we have now. |
