First of all let me say this was another brilliant episode as always. I was cracking up at my desk. I know there was an offhanded comment thrown out that Chemda seemed a little uneasy with about black people being more homophobic than white people.

I'm black so maybe this is just totally my own bias and I just don't want to admit the reality of it but I don't think black people are more homophobic than whites. While there may be a more vocal homophobia on an individual basis I don't know if this applies on the macro level.

Look at the California Prop 8 (or was it prop 9? If so my bad) voting. Black people got blamed for the proposition not passing (Or did it pass? That fucking thing was written so backwards by the end I didn't know if a vote for it would get gay marriage passed or not) but when you look at the money spent to generate protest against gay marriage it was from the people who own Chik-fil-A and that Mormon church from Utah.

But I guess those silent behind the scenes machinations of large corporations and religious organizations don't count as "homophobic" when this topic is approached.

And as far as the term "down low", sure it's been coined by the black community but being on the down low wasn't INVENTED by the black community. Is Tom Cruise black now? What about every Republican sex scandal that ended with a "Family Values" candidate being caught with another guy? For some reason these things never seem to "count" in the discussion.

Like I said maybe I'm biased but I just thought I should add an alternate take to the situation because millions of church goers who organize against gays are the same white people who will then turn and say "blacks are more homophobic" like it's an irrefutable fact.

Still love the show and I'll always be a fan but I wanted to at least present this alternative theory on the topic. Peace.

I don't think black people are more homophobic than whites. But as I've said in another post, I think it's a bit worse for black people as they know firsthand how shitty it is to be dumped on for what you are for no good reason. But to address your points, I think the mormons and senators and all those get a huge amount of shit for being homophobes. I don't think they get it rubbed in their faces in the papers as much as they should, but then again I don't think that black homophobes get their noses rubbed in it either.

I definitely agree with the hypocrisy of the black community making this seem worse than it is. There are a lot of black people who want to own exclusivity to oppression in America and it's a hindrance to fostering understanding among our community.

I guess I was more saying that when those places are called out it's more on an individual level but if you add it all up then you have to come to the conclusion that our country as a whole is very homophobic.

Not to mention this has been on the main stables of one of our political parties for the past 16 years or so. And that party is the whitest and richest party yet still somehow the stigma of homophobia remains firmly on the black people in this country.

All homophobia is disturbing but I just thought I'd add my two cents since some of it seems to go ignored IMO.

I can't argue with a bit of that, man.

The Naked Guy

I'm the one that rode my bicycle from northern Vermont to D.C. trying to go 600 miles. From D.C. I starte by taking the Greyhound to Burlington, VT, and took the Amtrak from D.C. to Cincinnati, OH, but I'm kind of stuck here in Cincinnati for the time being since it raining and lighting sporadically here. I only did a few miles of the 600 miles naked, and fewer in NYC as The Pantsless Zebra.

The painting was only on me for a few hours in NYC. I rode a few miles in Burlington, VT without cloths because there's no state laws against it. I tried to ride across just Vermont naked, but I found out that different cities had ordinances against it, and I didn't really even get a slap on the wrist for it from the officer that pulled me over. I even got the officer to hold my bicycle while I put cloths on.

I'm on Russell Crowe's side, but he could have been more specific about it. I'm not against circumcision; I'm specifically against routine neonatal circumcision. Most reasons for snipping at birth can wait till at least 17 yrs old unless your kids getting in on at five. Hygiene is the biggest issue under 17, but teaching kids how to clean themselves correctly is a much simpler solution until the age of legal consent. Much in the same way like getting a tattoo. I'm not against Circumcision, but I would have liked to at least have had the option on what happens to me since that's something that can't be undone.

I haven't listened to the show in a long time but I started a new job that lets me listen again. I get to listen to 4-5 episodes a night and this is where I picked back up. I call bullshit on the Facebook invite story. That's a bunch of shit. You can't accidentally invite people all at once. Shit, I have to send out invites monthly for our 3DW wrestling shows, and I have to one by one select everyone off my 2300 friends. One at a time. Does this bitch have super Facebook or somethin? Anyways great to be back, and good to catch up.

You can allow anybody to RSVP though, so if the word spreads and people get to the page, they can choose to attend.
