When joking around with a stranger, nine times out of ten, the worst that happens , is that stranger will whisper to someone else; “what a fucking douche.” when you leave. The other time you get stabbed in the neck. Not bad odds if you ask me.

About strangers assuming you are racist; I had an ex that hated white people, ironically, most people mistook her for being white (she was Puerto Rican), I asked her why she hated white people so much and she just answered; “You’d be surprised at the stuff they say when they think no one can hear them.” But honestly what group isn’t guilty of that? Maybe people who are racially ambiguous, have more people open up to them than most cause such a large cross section of people think “Oh they are one of us.” and then just let shit fly out of their mouths.

I've joked with complete strangers plenty, it's never really ended either positively or negatively.

I talk to strangers all the time. Always have, always will.

I tried to joke with a stranger last night, it did not go well...

girl: "What you up to tonight?"
me: "I don't know, you?"
girl: "Just going with the flow, gonna do whatever everyone else is doing."
me: "So, you're just like all the rioters then?"

*SILENCE*

girl: "no."
me: ".... you have to admit that was pretty funny. high five?"
girl: "no."
me: "okay then.... buh bye."

(she was fat. fat people have a hard time with jokes.)

I was doing the dishes tonight when the bit with the phone call to Tim's girl played and Keith had me laughing so hard I had to take a knee right there on the kitchen floor while I tried to hold my ribs to stop them from cracking.
