Missed BroLo, great show.
On the subject of vinyl, if you don't mind the crackles, vinyl actually plays a much wider frequency of noise than any digital format, thus in theory = better sound quality (given you have decent headphones/speakers/amp/turntable that doesn't bottleneck all that). |

So glad to hear BroLo again ya make me laugh every time you're on the show!
I was the one who gave it F--- and apologized to Lauren and Chemda. Reason being is because many people who I spoke with before I heard the episode where Chemda talked about it, they raved and praised the amazing hilarity. So I went in expecting to be laughing with my side hurting; maybe that was the problem, I went in with expectations. I know better, you should go in neutral always. When I saw it, it just... Nothing clicked for me. There were moments where I found myself doing small giggles, and certain scenes were funny (airplane scene with air marshal and Xanax) but it total I just found it meh. So, don't go see in theatres because you are paying too much (unless you sneak in), maybe merits a rental. As for the vinyl, what EthanK said, and I enjoy how they are bringing this format back as it brings to the forefront the history of music to the new generation. If I were to show a vinyl to my friend's kid sister she's probably say "What the fuck kind of Frisbee is that?!" AND... Maybe stretching, it gives current artist an opportunity to expose their music to the older generation. Lady GaGa for instance (Okay maybe bad example for some but you get the gist) is one artist I know who is doing this; and maybe... Just maybe... Mum and dad may go "Wow, they're releasing on vinyl? Can I hear some of their stuff?" |

Maybe Chemda went into Bridesmaids expecting just a straight-out comedy, and she felt that involving some elements from a romantic comedy confused it too much, or she felt they didn't blend them well?
I don't know, i thought it was really good - i was a big Kristen Wiig fan going in, but i just can't figure out how someone who likes comedy, and is funny themselves could hate it so much, especially if you compare it to the 'comedies' that have been made in the past few years - it had heart, it was fairly smart, it was sincere. Oh well, each to their own, i guess it will be a mystery forever! |
