First off - Keith's impression of Columbo was spot on. I watched reruns of the show when I was a kid and that was exactly how every single show went.

Secondly - I have most definitely accidentally started to walk off from someone when I thought the story was over. The worst thing is that usually the person you do this to doesn't even care that you started to walk away. When you realize your mistake and apologize they just keep their motor mouth trucking right away. It's awful.
