If by "him" you mean Dean, then he pretty much succeeded at whatever he set out to do. Whatever sycophantic plans he may have had, he got away with it.

I wasn't being a sycophant at all. I was merely making an observation, to which you DWarrior seemed to proudly acknowledge, that you enjoy being controversial for the sake of being controversial. Where I come from, that's referred to as shit stirring.

I've observed this across a number of threads where you have contributed posts which can, to my mind, be best described as obtuse. You also seem to gravitate towards needling Keith which seems to imply some sort of narcicisstic tendency. You hope to get a rise out of him because - he's Keith - and when he does respond, it feeds your ego. You obviously have a lot more time to devote to these forums than I do and I don't doubt that you are of significant intelligence - obtuse shit stirring requires that.

As for being a sycophant - There are many things Keith has said that I have disagreed with and I have said so but I admire his conviction, his fearlessness therefore I keep it all in perspective. I have no plans, no agendas. I started by putting forward a belief that gnosticism was actually a religion, which you pointed out was different to agnosticism. Fair call. I merely added my observation that you like to shit stir which, in and of itself is not a bad thing. But you seem to have form in this regard and like to tell people about it.

Getting hate from Keith hardly satisfies me. I'm pretty sure I agree with Keith just as often, those times just don't make waves so you don't notice (though occasionally he'll mention it on air, like the child rapist lawyer thing).

Changing boring conversations towards doctorsleep discussions makes the threads more lively and entertaining for me to read.

I think calling me a shit-stirrer is a disservice to real shit stirrers.

I think to Junk a troll is someone who says something people disagree with and doesn't back down if he meets a certain level of resistance, because clearly neither of us are trolls. I might be a jerk, but I ain't a troll.
