Keith i been dealing with the same stuff, I would just take the vga cable(the cable that connects the pc tower to the monter) and connect the hdtv to the computer, annoying.

no, keith's not a diva. its people who watch camera filmed movies that are complete fucktards. thats unwatchable shit.
i'm a diva because i like blu rays and i cant watch dvd's cause they look less clear. i pay to watch them, i want them to look good. |

This isn't necessarily what you were referring to, but The Wire isn't in HD, so you shouldn't be downloading that for a day.
I bought the DVDs from Amazon once and flipped out when it wasn't widescreen, sent it back angrily and then later found out wasn't shot that way and there is no widescreen. Don't want anyone else being such an idiot. |

I don't understand why picture quality matters, in today's technology. No matter how blades of grass I can identify on your tv screen, it's not going to trick me into thinking I'm really there. I'm not going to make a tough call on a professional sports event like the commercials show (because there's not better reason they can think of to up the picture quality.)
This is a fucking huge ass industry, and just like any other, they trick the people into pouring their money in to corporate pockets. The technology for the next picture quality wave has probably existed for years already, but they're still milking the current market. Just like they did with color tube, then projection, then DVDs, then plasma and LCD, then BluRay.
