New York needs a cleansing? Nevermind Taxi Driver, sounds like Keith is finally coming round to McNally's way of thinking.
Also, instead of ruining women's names by calling hurricanes after them they should name hurricanes based on other things people should be afraid of. Like "Hurricane Rattlesnake" or "Hurricane Malaria" or "Hurricane Depleted Uranium". Or "Hurricane Elderly Woman On The Subway". |

If you "don't get it" just ask yourself this:
If the power grid went down for three days what would I need? Stocking up has nothing to do with the Apocalypse, just a good old fucking in the ass of the region's services and infrastructure by Ma Nature with a mammoth strap-on. Or the Illuminati. Whichever strikes first. |

KatG Relocate?
So... some tree-hugger once told me that all the oil we took from the ground was once lubricating all the 'continental plates' and now that they are not lubed up - they are causing friction, (not unlike that one absolute whore partner you used to have that was gross, but would totally get drunk and just be like, 'Yeah, throw it in - I'm outta oil") in the form of more and more earthquakes....
Any smart KatG-er know anything about this? Would Keith , Chemda, and Crew ever move the base of operations, if forced to leave NYC?? The implications! That's at least 95 KatG tat touch-ups... What shape is Pennsylvania? Wyoming, perhaps? It'd be cheaper... |

oil lubes the tectonic plates?
Yeah I don't really think that's true. According to all-knowing wikipedia Petroleum - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia oil had been used in some capacity for a long time but our need to drill for it-really suck up all of it we could-wasn't until the combustion engine changed the way we travelled. Earthquakes (and their buddies tsunamis) were happening long before that.
eta: What is there, exactly, to "not get" about stocking up on food & water when there's a possibility you could be stuck with no power for awhile? We don't get hurricanes here (just tornadoes hur) but the longest the power was out was during ice storms, twice in my life I've been with no power for a week while everything was covered with ice. Stores run out of stuff immediately, good luck finding stuff like bread or milk. You eat your canned soup that you heated up using the generators power (if you're lucky enough to have one) and you like it. Last edited by v00deux; 08-27-2011 at 02:12 AM. |
