You could force yourself to eat blueberries for the antioxidants. Doesn't mean you don't like them.
Are you saying you don't like blueberries? They're great.

Even if the initial reason for saying "l'chaim" is gone, doesn't mean a new one hasn't arisen, such as liking it. Or acknowledging that it represents something in addition to being a compromise of a solution of getting rid of or not getting rid of the prayer.

It means "to life" for people who like that sort of thing, and for people who don't like it, it's got a subtext of "fuck you," something I've heard Keith likes as well.

Amen?

(I don't even know if that is true or not, as I said, it's been a long time since I actually heard the prayer.) It couldn't mean all that much if nobody noticed (except you, maybe) that it had been replaced.

But yes, of course, liking it (blueberries) is a reason to do (eat) it (them.) That wasn't really the stated reasoning though. It was more along the lines of, "we don't want people with tattoos to be mad."

Sometimes blueberries are great. Sometimes, they're not. If I decide right now I am going to eat them every single day, I already know I am going to be unhappy with that decision at some point.

What if you're also allowed to have different kinds of berries and other fruits and foods that aren't fruits every day also? And you could have as many of those foods in whatever ratios you wanted, but blueberries were always there for you.
Is this about non-monogamy again?

Sincerely, do you have a problem with the theme song being the same at the beginning of every show? If not, why not have something unified at the end of the show? If yes, let's argue about that.

As far as the upsetting of tattoo people, I agree that that's not the best reason to keep "l'chaim" around if it's the ONLY reason. But I think we can agree that it's not. (Especially because you can still have a connection to all the time that it WAS a thing that was said. Like if you got a tattoo of something relating to the Beatles, but they haven't played music for a while. Point is, you can always go back and listen to an old "l'chaim" episode. Or just record the word once and then play it back whenever your tattoo wants you to.)

L'ch-amen.

Finally. I thought you would never get my blueberry metaphor. I am on your side! Nobody wants only blueberries and nobody wants to be force fed blueberries, no matter how much they love them!

Sincerely, I really don't have a problem with any of it. (Although Sheer Heart Attack's "l'chaim" did sound really stupid, but it was the first out-of- context attempt.) Unifying bookends are fine. I look forward to the "see you next week"(s) on Mike And Tom Eat Snacks even though it signals the end of the show (there is outro music afterward.) This, however, seems forced. It is forced. I am not angry about that fact. I am saying it contradicts the stated (but not only) reason: removing something that people lovingly associate with the show. If it's forced, it doesn't mean as much, and that's just as insulting, if not moreso, than just not doing it.

Remember how Spooky took the John Williams Harry Potter score and inserted it into the beginning of each chapter of his HP audio books?

There's the solution if you miss the prayer.

I don't really miss it that much didnt even notice it gone in the latest episode, but I wish they'd bring it back just for Jesse Joyce episodes. Maybe the KATG prayer has evolved that it's just too pro for average episodes and should be broken out on special occasion such as a vintage wine would be I.E. Live show events.
