I think you're on the right track with an electrolyte imbalance/dehydration from drinking. My friend has a problem with tachycardia (racing heart rate) when she exercises. She can't just drink water, she has to drink Gatorade or something else with electrolytes, otherwise she gets dehydrated and her pulse starts racing.
I get PVCs (feels like your heart skips a beat), but mine are from anxiety. After going to the doc and getting an EKG that showed no abnomalities, I got less freaked out by them and they've mostly gone away. Your anxiety and worry over what's happening can often make the symptoms even worse. I have heart issues in my family, too (my dad dropped dead of a heart attack at age 47), so I know that's why I get so anxious about it. But my friend says the same thing happens to her -- if she gets freaked out and anxious over her racing heart it's worse. After finding out it was just dehydration and taking steps before exercising, she hasn't had another attack since.

Don't give up on it Myq! I tried monogomy and was miserable because that is not who I am in my heart. Before I came into my partner's lives they believed sex was sex and love was love and could keep the two parts separate but then they fell in love with me and I with them and that was 7 years ago. I am in the happiest, most fulfilling relationship that I have personal knowledge of.
I hope your therapist is open to the idea of non-monogomy because otherwise she/he will just see your desire for it as the problem. Come back to Atlanta! Amanda |

I get anxiety after heavy drinking for sure!
I actually plan to not to have to leave the house the day after I drink a lot because I know I will just freak out. Many of my friends are like "HEY!! tomorrow lets go for brunch!!" and I'm like "No, because I will need to be alone or I'll freak out." I don't know what it is, but that's how I am. |

I've been thinking about how the prayer probably affects listener numbers for a long time now and as an old school listener I'm 170,000,000% with Chemda and Keith that it's time to leave the prayer behind but to hold onto L'Chaim because of the tattoos.
I want this show to be as big as it can be and introducing any kind of in-joke confusion right off the bat may be a cutesy ironic idea, but for every new listener who's shrugged it off and plowed on through I'd bet there's another who decided they can listen to a thousand other podcasts that don't begin in a confusing way. The response that anyone who can't get past a confusing in-jokey beginning doesn't deserve to listen to the show is naive at best and childish at worst. The way a podcast shapes their intro is vital for inviting new listeners in and the show will do better without the prayer. Sentimental horseshit aside, we all win. |

yes, i had similar symptoms after drinking. i think it has to do do with general intoxication. a lot of pot smokers have those too.
and weirdly, i also thought i was having a heart attack (cause i'm a hypocondriac). |
