Protest. Schmo-test. Does nothing fest.
Protesting is obsolete. IT's proven. Money is the bottom line. 'Nuff Said'
On a more interesting note: Congrats to Chemda on 'coming out to Mom.' I'm a bit curious when she said something to the effect of 'Lauren would stay some where else when mom visits - she understands the closet mentality, etc. I would bet that Lauren feels a lot better, Chemda feels a lot better, and Chemds mom prolly had 'a feeling' her daughter was dating a woman, anyhow? Curious as to how this unfolds. |

I just don't understand what the heck Ted Alexandro's saying. I'm 45 minutes in, and he sounds like Keith when he talks about doing a book report in school. Alexandro likes good things, corporations are bad except when they aren't, we want to decrease the wealth disparity, but also, wealth isn't that important, and so on. Of course that kind of message won't create change.
Pick a specific thing to protest about. Go after the capital gains tax or something. |

now that i heard the whole speech TA made: ok its a bunch of idealistic mumbo jumbo that someone who has an intellectual/artistic job can afford to say, since the next morning if they go at a protest they arent missing a work turn and arent getting fired for a "cause".
ill buy that stuff when a factory worker whos really risking something with his protest says it. sorry. |

I hate to be the hater hater, but most of my friends work on wall street, and I hope to work there someday as well. So I hope the banks prosper and the income gap continues to grow (this would actually greatly benefit my current employer).

they can't live entirely inside those buildings though. The gap increases, then the number of frustrated people on the streets increases and then muggings and robberies skyrocket. These wallstreet guys remind me of when Perez Hilton was bitching about being punched. If you're gonna attack people financially you have to expect retaliation voilently. security and bodyguards cost money too. Last edited by Jo_Culprit; 10-04-2011 at 06:17 PM. |
