Batman Arkham Asylum might be up keith's ally, easy fighting, cool moves with button mashing, wear the same thing all the way though and it's like 20 bucks used at gamestop.

OOOH. You can lean in this one. OOOH. You can go prone on this one. Come on. It takes like five seconds of adjusting to play a different shooter. I can't believe anyone is arguing this. It just happens that I happen to be better at a different shooter after practicing a shooter? Come on. Even fighters are the same on a high level. Tiger knees, parries, red parries, instant air dashes, buffered 720s. If you reach a certain level of play in one fighting game, you're at least good in every fighter of a similar style.

I really enjoy Tim Diamond as a guest. He's great with impromptu, witty comebacks and provided many good laughs for me during this episode and each episode he's been on. Hope he continues to be on the show regularly.

Keith is right almost all video game reviewers suck ass. Keith is also right about most of them not really playing as much of the game as they claim, before showering it with praises. There is nothing like the feeling when you buy a game based on all the accolades its getting, taking it home, realizing its shit (or most of the faults were down played or just over looked), then a few weeks later you finally hear the same critics admit to the game being not as good as they first thought and perhaps they were just caught up in the excitement of a new game. Your whole fucking job is playing new games, how is that an okay excuse!?

Anyway, Giantbomb's quicklooks have been pretty good at helping me decided what games I'll like. Although they praised Rage, Keith would have still been able to get a good feel for what the game was about and that it wasn't for him.

If you want to be reductive like that, story-driven games are even less: listen to voice acting until credits. I could say if you've played one BioWare game you've played them all, but that'd be a dumb thing to say.

As opposed to being good at hitting the button for getting more voice acting spouted at you?

I honestly can't tell whether you're being serious or not. I don't care if there's no gameplay. When I'm playing for the story, I'm watching a movie that I can interact with. It's an interactive world that I can affect in a big way. It's completely different from playing a video game that's based on gameplay. If you play a shooter for the sake of the gameplay, there's nearly nothing different than if you play another shooter for the same of the gameplay. If you play a game for the sake of the story... Well, actually a lot of the games lately have similar plots. What I'm talking about, though, is that rare gem that delivers a really touching story that you can relate to. That in mind, the only thing playable BioWare did lately was the first Dragon Age.

You're basically saying that the game of checkers has more variety over reading different books. Sure, you can play different players, but Keith plays almost exclusively single player anyways.

EDIT: For the record, I'm not saying games without stories are bad. I'm just saying that they're practically different media. People can easily like one type but dislike another. They're games for different people.

You made reductive comments about the base nature of the experience, I countered, then you said you didn't want to talk about the base nature of the experience. If you don't want to, don't do it.

You don't need to expound on the virtues of BioWare's games to me; they're my favourite games of all time. That's not what I was talking to you about.

referring to rage, you dont really buy clothes. its a cutesy way the developers had to get you to choose an armour (with different purposes). you dont see those clothes in the game, all they do is change the options like shields and healing. it still is a bit time wasting.
